Blinds & Shades in Lisle, IL
Entry sidelights are the window everyone forgets until they realise anyone at the front door can see straight down the hall. In the Village of Trees, we fit a lot of them.

Blinds, Shades & Shutters in Lisle
A sidelight is a tall, narrow, usually fixed pane next to the front door, and it needs a specific answer: something slim enough not to crowd the casing, cordless so there is nothing dangling at head height in an entryway, and operable so you can still get light into a dark hall when you want it. The shade above is exactly that — a cordless operable sidelight shade, measured to the opening.
Lisle's housing runs from the older streets near downtown and the Arboretum out to the subdivisions along Route 53 and Maple Avenue, and the two-storey entry with flanking sidelights shows up across almost all of it. It is one of the most common single-window calls we take in the village.

Lisle questions
Asked and answered
Can you cover a sidelight without drilling into the door frame?
Usually yes. Most sidelights take a shallow mount on the glass stop or the casing rather than the frame itself. We will look at the construction on site and choose the least invasive mount that will hold.
What about the half-round transom above the door?
That can be covered too, as a fixed specialty-shape piece matched to the sidelight fabric. Whether it is worth doing depends on which way the door faces — we will give you a straight answer.
For sidelights, transoms and the awkward entry windows nobody else wants, Lisle has a blinds and shades sales and installation company that treats them as real work.
